For more than 50 years we have been coaching dancers of all ages and abilities, from beginners to British Champions. We offer a variety of dance classes as well as private tuition, so there is something for everyone. With us you can learn to dance so you can attend social dances, take part in annual exams, or set your sights on competing with us around the country. You can also just come along for the pleasure of dancing... and to enjoy our great company, of course.

Our dance school was founded in 1968 by our current principal and owner, Marjorie King.  In recent years the school has gone from strength to strength with our students claiming more than 25 national titles and numerous other fantastic achievements. Since the very beginning we have struck a balance between the highest quality dance tuition and maintaining a community feel. We are a friendly group, and we want nothing more than to see you smile as you leave the studio.

So whether you think it might be fun to learn how to dance, or you see your son or daughter as the next strictly star... maybe you are being nagged by your friend or partner to try it!? They're all good reasons to get in touch, we'd love to hear from  you.

Liam Pywell

Marjorie King

Marjorie has more than 50 years experience as a professional dance teacher. In that time, Marjorie has guided students to a number of Championship titles in Classical and modern Sequence, as well as supporting students to achieve their dancing ambitions.

Marjorie is a highly regarded adjudicator, regularly being invited to judge competitions across the country, including the illustrious Junior Blackpool Festival and Amateur Classical Sequence British Championships.

Liam has danced with the school for 25 years, achieving success as a  competitor, setting the record for the most consecutive Amateur Classical Sequence British Champion Championship titles, with his partner Alexandra.

Liam has coached with the school since 2015 under the guideship of Marjorie, taking students in medallist and open events to finals in major events, and in many cases becoming national winners.

Claire Mcalinden

Claire has been a part of the school for more than 20 years, first as a student and now as a professional dance teacher.

Claire took exams at a young age and found a love in street and Latin dancing, including Cuban Salsa.

Over many years of teaching, Claire has supported students through exams at the very highest level and local shows, and now leads all street classes in the school.

Bob Cherry

Bob took his professional exam shortly after meeting Marjorie, having danced for many years before. Since becoming a professional, Bob has trained dancers with Marjorie of all ages and hosted numerous events, raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process.

Bob is known by many as going above and beyond for students, many of whom would not have enjoyed their success if not for his dedication.
